HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER...
 
To join, a completed application is needed along with the first year membership dues of $68.00 plus a one time processing fee of $15.00.

Networking/Leadership Skills
Members of the 700-plus IAAP chapters build professional networks by attending chapter meetings and serving in chapter leadership positions.  Members also can serve as division, district, and international officers.
 
Educational Development
IAAP and its local chapters host a variety of seminars, workshops, and conferences featuring top speakers.  IAAP's largest training event is its International Convention and Educational Forum, held each summer.  The IAAP World Headquarters offers member discounts on over 400 books, videotapes, and other resources relating to office administration.
 
Latest and Greatest
IAAP members receive the latest information about productivity-enhancing products, technology, and services for the modern business office.  Members receive a year's subscription to the Office Pro Magazine and will receive updated information through Division and Chapter Newsletters.
 
Certification
IAAP oversees a highly respected certification, the Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) program.  To achieve CPS certification, the candidate must pass a rigorous exam covering; finance, business law, economics, office technology, office administration, business communications, behavior science in business, human resources management, organization, and management.  More than 56,000 office professionals have achieved the CPS rating since the program's inception in 1951.
